Courses
alapana offers regular three-tier course in Carnatic Music (South
Indian Classical Music) and a structured course with three levels of proficiency in Indian
Classical Dance, Bharatanatyam. Besides the regular courses, there are Intensive
Modular courses and 'Flexilearn' courses in music and dance. While the regular
courses lead to proper certfication through a qualifying examination, Intensive Modular
courses and 'Flexilearn' courses are not examination oriented.

Music The music courses follow an authentic syllabus and a well-defined fee structure. There are 3 types of
courses in Vocal Music, Veena,
Violin and Mridangam :

Regular -
Regular syllabus oriented course leading to an examination, though examination is not
compulsory.

Intensive - Special modules taught as short-term courses for in-depth
study.

Flexilearn - Flexible clsses suitable for those who want to have a
relaxed pace - ideal for frequent travellers, shift-duty personnel

|
Dance The dance courses follow a strict syllabus and a
well-defined fee structure.
